Even Par Round Moves Shaw into 17th at NCAA East Regional
Date Posted: 5/12/2006 BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – Alejandra Shaw shot an even-par 72 to pace Campbell University golfers in Friday’s second round of the NCAA East Regional Championship at Bryan Park. Shaw, the A-Sun Player of the Year, is tied for 17th overall. Campbell teammates Sofia Gorelik and Maite Ortiz de Pinedo both stand six-over through 36 holes of the 3-round event at 150 strokes. Gorelik followed Thursday’s 76 with a two-over 74 on Friday. Ortiz de Pinedo shot a plus-three 75 for the second round. Campbell sophomores Emily Simpson and Jaclyn Perlman shot 81 and 82, respectively, on Tuesday. Campbell stands in 20th heading into tomorrow's final round.
