Tuesday, October 04, 2005 FORT MYERS, FLA. – Jaclyn Perlman and Alejandra Shaw of Campbell University finished one-two individually Tuesday at the Georgia State Pelican Preserve Invitational women’s golf tournament. A red-shirt sophomore from North Wales, Pa., Perlman registered her first collegiate victory while posting her second-straight top-10 finish to open the 2005-06 season. Her collegiate career-low round of two-under 70 on Tuesday was the tournament’s low 18-hole score and vaulted her from eighth place into the medalist position at six-over 222. "Jaclyn has always shown a lot of promise and always had the instincts of a champion," said Campbell head coach John Crooks. "She prepared so well this summer and her short game improved so much, it’s just a pleasure to watch." |
