BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – Alejandra Shaw finished in a tie for 20th individually and Campbell placed 18th in the final team standings Saturday at the NCAA East Regional Women’s Golf Championship at Bryan Park.

A junior from Vina del Mar, Chile, Shaw completed the 54-hole tournament at four-over-par 220 (74-72-74). Teammates Maite Ortiz de Pinedo and Sofia Gorelik tied for 44th place at 225 strokes after shooting identical 75s on Saturday. Sophomore Emily Simpson had a 77 to finish in 100th place (241), while sophomore Jaclyn Perlman shot 83.

Tennessee won the team crown, carding a two-under 286 on Saturday to finish the tournament at even-par 864. Louisiana State (870) was second, followed by California (874), Florida State (878), Arizona State (878), Auburn (879), Wake Forest (883), Alabama (887) and Virginia (887). A playoff was needed to decide the eighth and final NCAA Championship qualifying spot between Alabama and Virginia. The Crimson Tide won the sudden death play-off on the first hole with four pars compared to three pars and a bogey for the Cavaliers.
