Thursday, March 04, 2010 MACON, Ga. - FGCU’s Amber Pedersen took 15th at JU Classic helping the Eagles to a fifth-place finish and earning her Atlantic Sun Women’s Golfer of the Month Honors. As one of three Eagles to place in the top 25, Pedersen, a senior criminal forensics major, took 15th overall as FGCU opened the spring season with a fifth place finish at the 2010 JU Classic in Jacksonville. Fla. Feb. 23. As the 2010 JU Classic came to a close on Tuesday afternoon, the FGCU women’s golf team finished in fifth place out of the 11-team field. The two-day, two-round event took place at the Hidden Hills Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla. The Eagles had three participants place in the individual top 25. The Eagles will tee up again Sunday as they travel back to Jacksonville, Fla. for the James Madison University Eagle Landing Invitational. Fans can follow the Atlantic Sun on Twitter and on Facebook.
