DAHLONEGA, Ga. - Alexandria Buelow and Lauren Cate of the Stetson women's golf team finished strong with a two-under par aggregate score in the final round of the inaugural NGCA Hooters Women's Collegiate Team Championship to take third place overall at 10-under par on August 5th. 

Buelow shot three-under par 69 while Cate tallied a 73; the Stetson entry joined four other squads as one out of 53 to break par in the final round at Achasta by Reynolds Golf Course.

Belmont’s pairing of Kelly Maguigan and Janet Steen finished tied for 34th place in the tournament. The duo combined for a 13-over round of 157 with Maguigan carding a two-over round of 74 and Steen an 11-over round of 83 in the final day of action.

Ket Preamchuen and Abby Fitzgerald from Kennesaw State fired a 4-under par 68 in the second round of play in Wednesday’s best ball format. Mercer’s two duos of Alicia Poole/Kimberly Graff and Jessica Arthur/Keri Lynn
Carson finished in 42nd and 51st place respectively.
