Stetson’s Buelow Earns September Golfer of the Month

MACON, Ga. – Stetson’s Alexandria Buelow, the Atlantic Sun’s Player of the Year in 2010, opened her sophomore year by claiming her third individual title, the UNC Greensboro Starmount Classic. She picked up her third A-Sun Golfer of the Month award on Wednesday, the conference office announced.

GOLFER OF THE MONTH:
Alexandria Buelow, Stetson (So. – Palm City, Fla. – Sport Management)

  • Third A-Sun Golfer of the Month award
  • Won her third career tournament victory, a tie for the title at UNC Greensboro Starmount Classic.
  • Broke par on back-to-back days to finish three-under-par, tied with N.C. State’s Brittany Marchand

 

OTHER NOMINEES:

  • Kristen Boettcher (Sr., Jacksonville) – third at Labor Day Shootout; T-5th at Sea Trail Intercollegiate
  • Briana Carlson (So., FGCU) – finished T-3rd at Bannister Classic; made tournament-best nine birdies
  • Lacey Fears (Fr., Mercer) – won individual title at EAT A PEACH Collegiate; T-9th at Gamecock Classic
