MACON, Ga. – FGCU’s Briana Carlson won the first Atlantic Sun Women’s Golfer of the Week award after taking second at the JU Classic, the conference announced on Wednesday. The conference changed from honoring golfers monthly to weekly beginning this spring.

• First A-Sun Golfer of the Week award
  
• Finished second at the JU Classic after rounds of 76-75
  
• Carded a three-over 75 in the final round to jump into sole possession of second place on the 40-player board
  
• While sinking a total of five birdies, Carlson also ranked among the best in par 5 scoring at even-par  

• Lacey Fears (Fr., Mercer) – Finished as Mercer’s low golfer with a 15th-place finish at JU Classic
  
• Jessica Williams (Sr., Jacksonville) – Former walk-on posted a career-best finish - tied for third at JU Classic; her one-over par 73 in the first round represented a career-low
