Muehl, Guillaume Earn March’s First Golf Awards

MACON, Ga. – ETSU’s Nina Muehl broke a school tournament scoring record while Campbell’s Vaita Guillaume tied the program single-round scoring record to the win the Atlantic Sun Men’s and Women’s Golfer of the Week awards, the conference announced on Thursday.

WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK:
Nina Muehl, ETSU (Sr. – Vienna, Austria – Business Management)

  • First A-Sun Golfer of the Week award
  • Posted a school record three-round score, carding a 4-under-par 212 (73-71-68)
  • Tied for first place at the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge
  • Her 68 in the final round was the low-round of the day and the tournament, and matched her best round of this season
  • Lost the playoff on the second hole, after birding on the first playoff hole
  • Final score of 212 broke the mark she set last season, a 213 in the NCAA East Regional

 

MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK:
Vaita Guillaume, Campbell (Jr. – Papeete, Tahiti. – Business Admin)

  • First A-Sun Golfer of the Week award; Second A-Sun award
  • Finished second in the Charleston Shootout, leading the Camels to a fourth-place showing
  • Tied the school record with an 8-under-par, opening round 64.
  • Finished the event at 6-under-par 210 (64-71-75), one stroke behind the individual champion F
  • Finished as one of only golfers in the field to shoot in red numbers
