Maguigan Opens Season with A-Sun Weekly Award

MACON, Ga. – Belmont’s Kelly Maguigan claimed her first Atlantic Sun Women’s Golfer of the Week award after finishing in 12th place at the Drake Creek Invitational with a three-day total of 229 to help the Bruins to a fourth-place finish.

  • First Career Player of the Week award; first for Belmont since October 2008
  • Finished in 12th place at the Drake Creek Invitational
  • Fired a three-round total 229 to help Bruins to a fourth-place finish
  • Fifth top-20 finish of her career

  • Fabienne Haremza (Sr., FGCU) – Tied for 15th at Chip-N-Club Invitational with a 72 in round two
  • Mary Alice Murphy (So., Mercer) – Shot 73 in round one of rain-shortened Bannister Classic
