MACON, Ga. – Belmont’s Kelly Maguigan claimed her first Atlantic Sun Women’s Golfer of the Week award after finishing in 12th place at the Drake Creek Invitational with a three-day total of 229 to help the Bruins to a fourth-place finish.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK:
Kelly Maguigan, Belmont (Sr. – Franklin, Tenn. – Pharmacy)
- First Career Player of the Week award; first for Belmont since October 2008
- Finished in 12th place at the Drake Creek Invitational
- Fired a three-round total 229 to help Bruins to a fourth-place finish
- Fifth top-20 finish of her career
OTHER NOMINEES:
- Fabienne Haremza (Sr., FGCU) – Tied for 15th at Chip-N-Club Invitational with a 72 in round two
- Mary Alice Murphy (So., Mercer) – Shot 73 in round one of rain-shortened Bannister Classic
- Savanna Schubert (So., Lipscomb) – Finished 17th at Drake Creek Invitational to lead Lipscomb
