Campbell University won its fourth-consecutive intercollegiate women’s golf tournament on Tuesday when CU claimed its own Fighting Camel Spring Classic at Keith Hills Country Club No. 1.
Junior Maite Ortiz de Pinedo claimed medalist honors with consecutive 74s on the par-72, 6012-yard Keith Hills layout. The native of Valladolid, Spain recorded her second collegiate win by one stroke over High Point’s Kate O’Sullivan, who shot the day’s low round (72) to finish at plus-five 149.\
