MACON, Ga. - Stetson's Danielle Jackson won her second-career Golfer of the Month award by leading the Hatters in a successful defense of their title at the Hatter Fall Classic, the conference office announced on Thursday.

Jackson, a junior from Seminole, Fla., shot a 1-under par 71 in the final round of the Holiday Inn Express Hatter Fall Classic at Victoria Hills Country Club in DeLand, Fla., on Nov. 3-4 to win the tournament by three strokes over Stetson freshman Lauren Cate. Her 4-over par performance for 54 holes led four Hatters in the top 10 in the 45-golfer field as Stetson won on its home soil for the second straight year in a 25-stroke rout of second place Daytona State. Jackson, a sports management major, 75.0 stroke average in the fall tied for the team lead as Stetson won two tournaments and recorded three top five finishes in five outings

The Hatters are in the midst of a winter break and will not return to the course until Feb. 23-24 when they head to Jacksonville, Fla., to take part in the Jacksonville Invitational at Hidden Hills Country Club.

Other Top Performers

Alex Quagliata, Mercer (Sr. - Reston, Va. - Psychology) -- Quagliata helped the Bears to a sixth place finish at the Hatter Fall Classic, firing two rounds of 76 (+4) to claim a spot in the tournament’s top ten. Finishing as either the team’s lowest scorer or second lowest scorer in each of the three rounds, Quagliata would finish the tournament with a 10-over 232.

Lorie Warren, Belmont (Sr. - Hendersonville, Tenn. - Management) -- In her only tournament of the month, Lorie finished second at the UAB Fall Beach Blast Invitational in Gulf Shores, AL on November 3-4. For November, she posted a 72.5 scoring average. For the season, she has won two individual titles (six overall), leads the team with a 73.6 scoring average, and posted top-three finishes in all five fall tournaments.
