Robinson and Arthur Corral Track & Field Weekly Honors

MACON, Ga. – The Kennesaw State Owls’ Brittany Robinson and Jill Arthur both earned their first Atlantic Sun Conference Track & Field Weekly Awards, announced Wednesday by the league office. Robinson ran to two top-eight finishes at the Clemson Invitational, while Arthur earned a first-place finish in the triple jump.

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
Brittany Robinson (Kennesaw State – Sprints – Jr. – Lithonia, Ga. – Nursing)
• First Career A-Sun Track Athlete of the Week award
• Finished eighth in the 800m in a time of 2:30.79 at the Clemson Invitational
• Crossed the finish line in seventh place in the 500m in 1:21.67

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
Jill Arthur (Kennesaw State – Jumps – Sr. – Gainesville, Ga. – Finance)
• First A-Sun Field Athlete of the Week award
• Claimed first place in the triple jump at the Clemson Invitational with a top distance of 40’075”
• First Owl to claim a first-place finish on the women’s side this season
• Currently ranks 12th in the nation in triple jump

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Natalie Stewart (Throws, Lipscomb) – Finished 24th in the shot put in her first NCAA meet at the Ed Temple Classic
