Naomi Mack Named Indoor Track Scholar Athlete of the Year

MACON, Ga. – The Atlantic Sun Conference honored Naomi Mack of Kennesaw State as the 2012 Women's Indoor-Track Scholar-Athlete of the Year to highlight the league’s Academic All-Conference team.

Mack competed in the pentathlon at the 2012 Atlantic Sun Indoor Track Championships where she broke the pentathlon championship record posting a score of 3,871. Mack won three of five events by claiming the 60-meter hurdles (9.12), long jump (18'10.5) and 800m (2:21.85). Mack boasts a 3.49 GPA as a Communication and Media Studies major.

The A-Sun introduced the new sport-by-sport Academic All-Conference teams this fall to recognize student-athletes who embody the conference’s mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better and participated in at least half of their team’s games.
