Macon, Ga. -- Campbell sweeps this week's awards as Tara Dressler ran a personal best in route to Athlete of the Week honors today.

The Calgary, Canada native beat out 19 other runners to win the 3000m race at the On Track Open hosted by Liberty University this past weekend. She set a personal-best and league leading time of 9:59.13 winning by more than three seconds. The run was more than 10 seconds faster than her previous best set last year.

Dressler is a senior majoring in psychology.

The Atlantic Sun Athlete of the Week is announced every Wednesday during the 2006 indoor track season.

The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
