FORMAT
The championship shall be a two weekend single-elimination event. On the first weekend, the No. 3 seed will host the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed will host the No. 5 seed in opening round matches. On the second weekend, the No. 1 seed will host the remaining teams for the semifinals (Friday) and final (Sunday).

FACILITY
FGCU, as the No. 1 seed will host the semifinals and final at its home facility.

Florida Gulf Coast University is committed to providing its student-athletes with the very best in athletics facilities. The FGCU Soccer Complex is evidence of that dedication.

The lighted stadium, which opened August 17, 2008 when the FGCU men's soccer team took on Eckerd College in exhibition action, provides seating for more than 350 fans and is complete with a 16’ x 24’ wireless Fair-Play scoreboard. However, with temporary seating, the stadium’s capacity can exceed 1,750 as evidenced by the crowd of 2,000 that saw the Lady Eagles take on the Blue Devils of Duke University, on March 28, 2009.

The Complex features an international-quality playing field of lush Celebration Bermuda grass, which is ideal for sports fields due to its excellent wear tolerance, for the Eagle soccer teams. The surface is a modified sand-based field with an in-ground irrigation system for drainage of rainwater and a sprinkler system that allows the FGCU grounds keeper to keep the field in top playing condition throughout the year. The system makes the field safer and more playable in a rain-soaked game.

The combination of sandy soil and irrigation allows the FGCU grounds keeper to maintain a healthy and vigorous playing surface. The field is mowed with a mower designed for golf fairways, which results in a field that rivals those of professional soccer.
