KENNESAW, Georgia – Just hours after Soccer Buzz magazine had the Owls receiving votes in their region poll, the NSCAA/adidas Regional Rankings saw Kennesaw State in a different light and ranked the Owls as the No. 10 team in the Southeast Region.
For Kennesaw State, the poll marks the first time in school history that a program has been ranked as an NCAA Division I member. The weekly poll had the Owls ranked ahead of Alabama, Western Carolina and Appalachian State.
“It is tremendous to be ranked in the top ten,” said head coach Rob King. “We’ve worked hard to establish ourselves as a competitive program, and to be recognized after just last season and a month into this season is quite an honor which we are all very proud.”
