Florida Atlantic Blanks Campbell in A-Sun Match of the Week

BOCA RATON, FL -- Denise Brolly's penalty kick goal in the first minute and a suffocating defense led the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team to a conference win over Campbell University Thursday night.
The loss snapped Campbell's 17-match unbeaten streak versus A-Sun opponents.
Monique Cabrera would give the Owls (9-3-1, 4-0-1) all the insurance they would need, thanks to a great individual effort. She took the ball from a Camel defender, spun off and fired a shot past keeper Samar Azem.
The shutout is FAU's ninth of the year. They are now just two shy of the program's record 11 set in 2002.
