Macon, Ga. – Florida Atlantic’s Alicia Tirelli and Gardner-Webb’s Corinne Razem received Atlantic Sun Conference women’s soccer Player of the Week honors as announced by the league office.

Tirelli assisted on the game-winning goal scored by Susanna Lehtinen just 26 seconds into the match versus second place Kennesaw State, breaking a school record for the fastest goal to start a game. She would then score two goals of her own in the 8th and 26th minutes to seal the victory for the Owls and in the process wrapped up FAU’s third regular season title in four seasons. The sophomore forward has yet to determine a major.

Corinne Razem logged 197:09 minutes of action between the posts for Gardner-Webb last week, collecting 15 saves while posting a goals against average of 0.91. The sophomore keeper only allowed two penalty kicks to find net while racking up an .882 save percentage. Razem has anchored a defensive unit, which has been stellar this season at Varsity Field. The Bulldogs are 4-0-1 at home this year where they have outscored the opposition by a 14-2 count. The home-field dominance for Razem and GWU dates back seven matches, to a 5-0 shutout against Mercer on Oct. 14 of 2004. Over that span, GWU has gone 6-0-1 while blitzing the opposition by a 21-3 count. The Grand Island, N.Y., native is majoring in Business Administration.

The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
