BOCA RATON, Fl -- The defense of the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team was in mid-season form during its preseason match with Lynn University on Sunday. FAU won the game 3-0.

The Owl defense didn't allow a shot on goal, and dominated the majority of the play. Most of the game, the action was in the FAU offensive half of the field.

Freshman goalkeeper Jessica Badders played the first half and returning goalkeeper Megan Coyne played the second. Neither faced a legitimate scoring threat. Cristina Rodriguez, Danielle DiLeo and Brittany Comer scored for the Owls.

The Owls out shot the Fighting Knights 13-3, nine of them coming in the first half. Six of FAU's shots were on goal.

FAU opens their regular season Friday, Aug. 26, vs. Monmouth at 7 p.m.
