Friday, September 04, 2009 MACON, Ga. - Jacksonville meets Georgia Southern in the Atlantic Sun Women’s Soccer Game of the Week, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday live on ASunTV in the finale of the Jacksonville Invitational. The Dolphins host the Jacksonville Invitational this weekend at the Ashley Sports Complex as Jacksonville welcomes fellow Atlantic Sun member UNF, Furman and Georgia Southern. UNF and Georgia Southern open the invite on Friday followed by host Jacksonville taking on Furman. Jacksonville and Georgia Southern both enter the weekend with 0-3-0 record. The two teams have a great deal of similarity, which does not end with their record. Both teams arrive at the Jacksonville Invitational off winless weekends at road invitationals - Georgia Southern at the D.C. Invitational and Jacksonville at the Ospery Classic. Both teams have only found the net once in 2009. Krystin Smith tallied the Eagles’ lone goal of 2009 thus far in a 2-1 road loss to Charleston Southern. In three games, Georgia Southern goalkeeper Lauren Santos owns 23 saves with a 2.50 goals-against average. Eva Leeper holds the only goal for Jacksonville. Leeper found the net in the Dolphins’ 2-1 loss against Costal Carolina. Sophomore midfielder Liz Fink has yet to find the net this season but has tested opposing goalkeepers with 11 shots on the 2009 season.
