MACON, Ga. - Each day from August 13th through the 20th, the Atlantic Sun Conference will preview the upcoming 2010 women’s soccer season with the A-Sun Two-A-Days, where we interview a player or coach from each of the eleven A-Sun teams. Today we talked with Tessa Gavilsky from Stetson and Devon Dowell from Jacksonville.

Game to Watch: Fri., September 3rd at Florida, 7 p.m. - The Dolphins square off with the Gators on the Friday of Labor Day weekend. Florida, the 2009 SEC Champions, holds a 2-0 series advantage over JU. Other game of note: October 22nd vs. UNF - SunTrust River City Rumble.

Top Returning Scorer: Lisa Hensley - A returning sophomore, Hensley tallied four goals and four assists, which ranked second on the team for points. Hensley scored both goals for the Dolphins in the A-Sun Quarterfinal match against Mercer.

First Conference Game: The Dolphins open A-Sun play on September 17th with FGCU at home before facing Stetson the following Sunday. FGCU and JU tied 1-1 last season, but the Dolphins claimed a 1-0 victory the last time the two teams met in Jacksonville.

Games to watch: Sun., August 22nd vs. Miami (Fla.), 1 p.m. - The second game of the season brings the Hurricanes to DeLand, Fla. for a in-state showdown between the two schools. The Hatters face two ACC foes in their non-conference season with a game at Florida State the following Sunday.

Top Returning Scorer: Tessa Gavilsky – The two-time defending A-Sun Offensive Player of the Year will be searching for her third-straight honor after scoring 11 goals and assisting on eight in her junior season. The Granite City, Ill. native already holds the Stetson title as the all-time leading scorer and will add to her record in her final season. 

First Conference Game: Stetson opens A-Sun play with three straight road games beginning with UNF on Friday, Sept. 17th. Last season, Stetson triumphed over the Ospreys with a 4-2 victory, while the last time the two teams met in Jacksonville UNF won 2-1 in overtime.
