MACON, Ga. – In the opening weekend of the 2011 Atlantic Sun Women’s Soccer season, Stetson’s Alexis Hermosa led the Hatters to a comeback win against Florida International with two goals including a last-minute score, while North Florida’s sophomore goalkeeper Megan Dorsey stopped all challenges with 12 saves and a 0.00 GAA in 200 minutes of play to help the Ospreys to a 1-0-1 start.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Alexis Hermosa, Stetson (Senior – Midfielder – Orlando, Fla. – Integrative Health Science)
- First A-Sun Player of the Week award
- Scored two goals in a 2-1 comeback win against Florida International
- Netted final goal in the 89th minute against the Panthers
- Recorded two shots against FAU
