MACON, Ga. – Mercer’s Olivia Tucker and Jacksonville’s Sarah Sierra earned the Atlantic Sun Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors after helping their teams to undefeated records on the week.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Olivia Tucker, Mercer (Sr. – Midfielder – Peachtree City, Ga. – Biology)

• Second Career Player of the Week award; first since 2008 season
• Scored a pair of goals – including the game-winner – in the 3-0 road win against Florida Atlantic
• Helped the Bears to a 4-0 start to the season – the best start in program history
• Mercer is one of three teams in the nation that are undefeated and have yet to yield a goal

OTHER NOMINEES:

• Becca Massip (Jr., Jacksonville) – Scored game-winner against Georgia State in 93rd minute
• Katrina Frost (Fr., Kennesaw State) – Notched all three KSU goals on the week
• Jessica Swartzentruber (Jr., FGCU) – Came off the bench to score game-winner vs. Duquesne
• Taylor Smith (Fr., Belmont) – Found the back of the net twice for the4 Bruins
• Molly Vaughn (So., ETSU) – Netted a hat-trick against Alabama A&M in a 34-minute span

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Sarah Sierra, Jacksonville (So. – Goalkeeper – Madera, Calif. – Exercise Science)

• First Career Player of the Week award
• Allowed only one goal in 183 minutes of play, while earning two victories
• Notched nine saves total in wins against Furman and Georgia State
• Only two shots have found the back of the net this season against Sierra

OTHER NOMINEES:

• Melissa Hutto (Jr., Kennesaw State) – Recorded a shutout against Clayton State with four saves
• Jessica Hiltenbrand (Sr., ETSU) – Scored game-winning goal against Longwood on free kick
• Stephanie Powers (Sr., FGCU) – Made three saves in 1-0 shutout of Duquesne
