Thursday, November 03, 2011 FORT MYERS, Fla. - Two matches are set for Friday in the 2011 Atlantic Sun Women's Soccer Championship Semifinals as the two-seed ETSU Buccaneers face No. 6 Mercer, the defending tournament champions, in the 4 p.m. match and top-seeded and host FGCU squares off against No. 4 seed North Florida in the 7 p.m. nightcap. FGCU and ETSU enter as the top-two seeds and earned the first-round byes after they split the regular-season championship with Jacksonville. All three teams capped the season with a 7-1-1 record with 22 points. North Florida defeated Belmont last Saturday, 1-0, on the road to advance to the program's first A-Sun semifinal appearance. The Ospreys are led by First Team All-Conference Forward, Carolina Lencina, who led the team with 15 points on five goals and five assists. Mercer reached the semifinals with a 4-2 advantage on penalty kicks at Jacksonville. The Bears were tied with the Dolphins, 1-1, after two overtime periods, and were able to advance to their fourth semifinal in the past five seasons. The winners of Friday's game will face off on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the tournament final. All championship games will be broadcasted for free on ASun.TV
