NEW YORK, N.Y. - Kennesaw State's Laura Tucker was named to the 2006 Soccer Buzz Magazine All-Southeast Region Team. The senior led the Owls to the Atlantic Sun Conference regular season title this senior season and was named the league's Most Valuable Player. The native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama led the A-Sun in nearly every offensive category this season including goals and points.
The Kennesaw State senior, who had 12 goals in 16 games, finished the year as one of the most prolific scorers in the country. Tucker finished 16th in the nation with 1.75 points per game and 14th in the NCAA with 0.75 goals per game.
Tucker suffered through a painful beginning of the year as she scored just once in the Owls first seven games of the year. Suffering through an ailing knee, Tucker finished the year with eight goals in her last six games.
