Macon, Ga. - North Florida's Vanessa Sanchez completes the UNF Player of the Week sweep after an undefeated week in singles play.

Sanchez, a native of Merida, Mexico, defeated Elizabeth Syrova of Eastern Michigan, Lauriane Auvergne of Mercer and Paula Takara of Kennesaw State. She Also went 3-0 in doubles play, teaming with Robin Rogers at the No. 3 position to post 8-4, 8-5, 8-5 decisions in the three matches, respectively.

The marketing major has won five consecutive singles matches over the last two weeks, including a 3-0 mark against A-Sun foes, while the Lady Ospreys as a team have won five straight overall and seven of their last eight matches.

The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Player of the Week every Tuesday during the 2006 women's tennis campaign.

The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
