Stetson's Lange Gets Second Player of the Week Nod

Macon, Ga. - Stetson's Samantha Lange picks up her second Atlantic Sun Women's Tennis Player of the Week award today after an undefeated week.

The rookie from Middle Island, N.Y. went 2-0 in both singles and doubles play last week, taking on Delaware and conference foe Florida Atlantic.

Lange defeated Delaware's Alexa Dragnette in straight sets and brought about the decisive winning victory for the Hatters against FAU's Sanda Moreno-Perregaard. She defeated Perregaard, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6.

Lange is 4-0 in conference singles matches and leads the team with a 14-4 singles record going into the 2006 Atlantic Sun Tennis Championship, held April 12-15 in Macon, Ga.

The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Player of the Week every Tuesday during the 2006 women's tennis campaign.

The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
