Jaime and Sum Take A-Sun Tennis Weekly Awards

MACON, Ga. – Campbell’s Davy Sum earned his seventh career Atlantic Sun Tennis Player of the Week award by increasing his singles record to 19-0 on the year, while ETSU’s Paula Jaime helped the Lady Bucs to their third-straight A-Sun Regular Season title.

MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Davy Sum, Campbell (Sr. – Strasbourg, France – Business)
• Seventh A-Sun Player of the Week award; second this season
• Improved singles mark to 19-0 on the year with three victories
• Downed Belmont’s Rodrigo Amaral (6-2, 6-2), Lipscomb’s Oliver Strecker (6-3, 6-2) and UNCA’s Matt Waissan (6-0, 6-4)
• Currently stands in 112th in ITA Singles Rankings
• Camels have clinched a spot in A-Sun Championship

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Ramiro Blanco (Jr., USC Upstate) – Helped Spartans to a Music City sweep of Lipscomb and Belmont
• Hleb Maslau (Sr., UNF) – Extended doubles win streak to nine matches by earning two victories this week
• Sander Gille (Jr., ETSU) – Led Bucs to at least a share of A-Sun Regular Season Championship

WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Paula Jaime, ETSU (Jr. – Madrid, Spain – Business)
• Second Career A-Sun Player of the Week award
• Lady Bucs clinched third-straight A-Sun Regular Season crown over the weekend
• Picked up four victories on the weekend with wins against Mercer and Kennesaw State
• Defeated the Owls’ Alexandra Apostu (6-1, 6-2) and the Bears’ Amalia Bugge (6-4, 6-0)
• Finished A-Sun dual season with a 9-1 record

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Eve Castaing (Sr., Jacksonville) – Earned her eighth and ninth A-Sun singles victory to remain undefeated in conference
• Lisa Sutton (Campbell) – Picked up three singles victories on the week against Belmont, Lipscomb and UNCA
