MACON, Ga. – USC Upstate's Isabel von Stryk gave the Spartans their second-straight Atlantic Sun Women's Tennis weekly award after a 4-0 week in matches against Davidson and Elon.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Isabel von Stryk, USC Upstate (So. – Holm, Germany – Business Administration)
- First Career A-Sun Player of the Week honor; second-straight for Spartans
- Won all four of her matches; going 2-0 in singles and doubles
- Teamed with Talia Rojas in doubles for two wins vs Davidson and Elon
- Won at No. 3 singles vs. Davidson; 3-6, 6-2, 6-1
- Added win at No. 1 singles vs. Elon; 6-1, 6-3
OTHER NOMINEES:
- Lindsey Cable (Jr., Stetson) - Remained undefeated in singles and doubles play for the season
- Lorena Aviles (Sr., North Florida) - Went 2-0 at No.1 singles vs. Houston and Barry
- Jana Hueckinghaus (So., Kennesaw State) - Improved season's singles record to 4-3 with two wins on the weekend
- Elizabeth Means (Fr., FGCU) - Went 2-0 in singles play vs. Houston and Iowa State
