MACON, Ga. - Atlantic Sun Women's Tennis action heats up as teams continue to roll through there spring schedules.

Northern Kentucky remains unbeaten in play this year with a 2-0 record to sit on top of the current standings. The Norse picked up their wins on their trip through Tennessee with victories at Tennessee State and Austin Peay.

There are 15 matches scheduled in the coming week with three of them against ranked opponents. ETSU faces two of the ranked opponents with No. 52 Virginia Tech and No. 40 Kentucky on the bout.

A-Sun Women's Tennis Notes (#ASunWTen):
  • Four A-Sun teams that have started their season boast a record of .500 or better. NKU is undefeated at 2-0, while Lipscomb boasts a 3-1 record at No. 2 in the standings. ETSU (2-2) and Stetson (1-1) are at .500 in the early stages of the tennis season.
  • FGCU has picked up two A-Sun Women's Tennis Player of the Week Honors this season as Sarah Means collected honors in week one and Candela Munoz secured accolades in week three.
  • UNF plays in its first duel match of the spring season as the Ospreys host Florida A&M on Saturday February 8th.
  • The Buccaneers' Anna Gerbasi has not lost a match in singles play this season with a 4-0 record. Two of Geebsi's wins have been in the No. 2 singles position while she's also added a win at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots.

  • The 3-1 start by the Lady Bisons is their best start ever in the NCAA era. Lipscomb's Lorena Djuknic extended her singles record to 3-1, winning 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 5 position against Evansville last week to help the Lady Bisons to a win.
  • USC Upstate picked up the team's first win of the season with a 5-2 win vs. Presbyterian. Taylor Cohen landed a win in both singles and doubles play in the victory.
  • The Hatters have had some unfortunate weather cancellations since they grabbed a 4-0 win vs. Florida A&M on January 19th. Stetson looks to return to action on Saturday when the team hosts Florida International.
