Holton Leads UNF to Two A-Sun Wins

MACON, Ga. - UNF sophomore Lauren Holton helped the Lady Ospreys to a pair of conference victories over the weekend, keeping them undefeated in A-Sun play. For her efforts, the Roswell, Ga. native earned her first career Player of the Week honor the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Holton soared to straight-set wins in both of her singles matches over the weekend. She posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at Belmont in the fifth position before playing No. 6 at Lipscomb, winning 6-1, 6-0. In doubles action, she paired with fellow sophomore Victoria Krook, and the nationally-ranked No. 76 pair was an 8-3 winner against Belmont before blanking Lipscomb 8-0.

Tara Byrne, ETSU (Johnson City, Tenn. – Sr. – Business Management) – Moved to second all-time on the ETSU career wins list after picking up her third straight conference win of the season dropping Anna Wieslander of Mercer, 6-2, 6-4.
Anna Novo, USC Upstate (Caracas, Venezuela – Sr. – Information Management & Systems) – Senior Anna Novo became the first tennis player in school history to post three straight 20-singles-win seasons as she helped pace the USC Upstate women's tennis team to its 14th straight Atlantic Sun Conference win with a 5-2 triumph over Mercer.
