Jaime's Undefeated Week Leads to Weekly Honor

MACON, Ga. - ETSU freshman Paula Jaime picked up six wins against no defeats to earn her first career Atlantic Sun Conference women’s tennis Player of the Week honor the league announced Wednesday.
Jaime posted a 3-0 record last week leading the Lady Bucs to victories over A-Sun rival Campbell in addition to picking up wins against Charlotte and Winthrop. In the match against Charlotte, ETSU found itself tied with the 49ers at 3-3, heading into the final singles match of the day. That took place in No. 4 singles action as Jaime clinched the ETSU 4-3 victory with a thrilling three-set comeback win against Andra Rivera. Also on the week Jaime along with junior doubles teammate Yevgeniya Stupak posted a 3-0 mark. Jaime joins teammate Yevgeniya Stupak (March 4) as the two Lady Bucs to win a Player of the Week award this season..

Aline Berkenbrock, UNF (Sao Bernardo do Campo, Brazil - Fr. - Business Management) -- Berkenbrock gathered wins in singles and doubles in both of the Lady Ospreys' A-Sun matches over the weekend to help keep UNF perfect in league action and atop the conference standings. Berkenbrock and junior Raquel Castro notched a pair of 8-4 doubles wins. In individual action, Berkenbrock sailed to a 6-2, 6-0 win against Kennesaw State and a 6-2, 6-4 win against Mercer.
Ana-Sofia Camberos, USC Upstate (San Luis Potosi, Mexico - Fr. - Business Administration) -- Saw her record improve to a perfect 7-0 in singles play and 6-0 with partner Daniela Lovera in doubles play as she won both her singles and doubles matches for Upstate in wins over Kennesaw State and Campbell ... With partner Lovera, lost just six games in the two wins at the No. 3 doubles position ... Posted two wins at No. 6 singles, both helping Upstate to impressive wins in which they lost just one point in the two wins, as she won two sets, 6-1, and two sets, 6-4.
