Thursday, May 24, 2007 MACON, Ga. -- While most students-athletes around the Atlantic Sun Conference are done with school and enjoying the summer, a select group of individuals have qualified to compete at an NCAA Regional for Outdoor Track and Field beginning on Friday at various locations around the country. Member institutions from North Carolina and Florida will be competing at the East Regional in Gainesville, Fla. Student athletes representing the A-Sun include: Janel Grooms (JU), Alicia Valtin (Cam), Natasha Harvey (JU), Elizabeth Maxwell (GWU), Sam Tilly (Cam), Jake Didion (GWU), Elliott Haynie (GWU), and Jerel Langley (GWU). The confernece will also be represented by James Rainer (ETSU), Colin Magut (Bel), Ryan Snellen (Bel), Jenny Knox (ETSU), Anna Marie Riccardi (ETSU), Christa Coppin (Bel), Lynette Rives (Bel), Lynette Rives (Bel) and Elizabeth Pollock (Bel). The East Tennessee State University men's squad will also compete in the 400-meter relay, while Belmont has groups in the 400 and 1,600-meter relays. |
