Belmont's Colin Magut turned in a 12th place finish in the men's 5,000-meter run in Columbia, Mo., on Friday. Related Links
Friday, May 25, 2007 Columbia, Mo. – As NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Mideast Regional action got underway at Audrey J. Walton Stadium in Columbia, Mo., on Friday, ETSU’s Anna Marie Riccardi was busy working on an eighth place finish in the women’s high jump to put the Lady Bucs on the board for overall team standings. Riccardi put ETSU on the scoreboard by clearing 5 feet 7 1/4 inches (1.71m) with her best jump of the day. Her eighth place finish was the best finish in a finals event for an A-Sun student-athlete on the day. Riccardi was joined by James Rainer and Jenny Knox in individual competition for ETSU. Rainer finished with the 15th best time in the prelims of the 100-meter dash (10.57) and Knox posted the 22nd best time in the women’s 100 (12.08). The men’s 400-meter relay for the Bucs also competed, finishing eighth with a time of 40.17. Belmont also had student-athletes representing the Atlantic Sun at the Mideast Region. Lynette Rives finished 17th in the prelims of the 100-meter dash (11.94) and joined Elizabeth Pollock, Jessica Giles and Khulia Turner to help the Bruins garner a 14th place finish in the 400-meter relay. Rives also recorded an 11t h place finish in the 200-meter dash prelims with her time of 23.99. The Bruins’ Colin Magut and Ryan Snellen also ran on Friday, the two finished 12t h and 14t h, respectively, in the men’s 5,000-meter run. Magut finished with a time of 14:14.96, while Snellen crossed the line with a time of 14:28.68. Day 2 action of the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Mideast Regional is
set to begin at 11 a.m. (CT) on Saturday with the women’s hammer throw.
