BANSKA, Slovakia - Despite having concluded her NCAA season, JU's Louise Kiernan is not slowing down as she won the 100-meter at the Irish National Under-23 Championships on June 28.

With the win, Kiernan earns a spot on the Irish National Team for the European Under-23 Championships in Kaunas, Lithuania from July 16-19. She will also compete in the 4x100-meter relay during the three-day meet.

“Louise is continuing her successful season back home in Ireland,” said JU head coach Ron Grigg. “Winning an individual national title and representing her country in major championships is a great accomplishment and will create lifelong memories. We are very proud of Louise.”

The Dublin, Ireland native also put herself in position to earn a spot on the national title after a successful first season at JU where the Dolphins picked up their fourth consecutive Atlantic Sun Indoor and Outdoor titles.
