MACON, Ga. – Winning performances from UNF’s Elise Trexler and Kennesaw State’s Mackenzie Howe earned the pair the Atlantic Sun’s Women’s Field athlete and Track Athlete of the Week awards, the conference announced Thursday.

The psychology major from Lynn Haven, Fla. broke Amy Stroder’s record height of 1.77 meters, set back in 2007.

Howe re-affirmed her prowess in distance running, winning the 10,000 Meters at the Sea Ray Relays at the University of Tennessee Saturday. The junior health and exercise science major from Watkinsville, Ga. completed the race in a time of 36:03.05. Her winning mark represented an improvement of more than 40 seconds of her time of 36:44.06 that won her the 2009 A-Sun Outdoor Championship in the event.
