JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Kennesaw State's Naomi Mack earned back-to-back heptathlon titles at the 2011 Atlantic Sun Outdoor Track & Field Championships to push the Owls' lead to 20 points early in the final day. After the conclusion of the heptathlon, Kennesaw State totaled 71 points ahead of Jacksonville at 51 and UNF with 48.

Mack picked up two third-place finishes in the long jump and javelin throw before finishing in style with a victory in the 800-meter run. She crossed the finish line in a time of 2:26.59 to finish with a two-day total of 4,620 points ahead of Jacksonville's Rayanna Johnson with 4,330.

Belmont's Matt Fiedler held onto his day one lead to earn the decathlon title with 6,550 points - 70 points ahed of Lipscomb's Dillon Siegenthaler. Fiedler utilized three second-place finishes in day two to earn the win after finishing as the runner-up in last year's decathlon.

Kennesaw State takes a 34-point lead into the rest of the day with ETSU (41 points) and Belmont (40 points) trying to catch up to the Owls.

The men's high jump and the women's discus throw and triple jump kick off the second portion of the day's action at 3 p.m.
